If you've ever accepted someone's invitation to an event in Facebook, only to forget about it later because it wasn't in your calendar, this Quick Tip is for you.

I've been receiving more and more Facebook events, but the problem is that I always forget about them. I'm a slave to my Outlook calendar, unfortunately. The tutorial below will allow you to add a 2nd "view only" calendar into your Outlook. By taking advantage of Outlook's various views and color-schemes, you'll be able to look at both your Outlook calendar and your Facebook event calendar, all from the same spot.

Here's how!

While logged into facebook on your web-browser, choose Events.
At the very bottom of your listed events, you should see an "Export" link.  Choose that link.
A box like this pops up with a "webcal:" link.  Simply click the link.
A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to allow Outlook to open this link.  Choose "Allow."

Head on over to your Calendars in Outlook.
Make sure that your Outlook Calendar, as well as the facebook calendar, are both checked.
You'll now see both calendars.  In my calendar, my Outlook appointments are blue, while my Facebook invitations show up in green.
